Why is my account application being rejected?

Account applications can be rejected for numerous reasons, for clarity you can reach out to us on our Help Centre, however, here are some things to look out for:

 Proof of Residence is insufficient due to:

• It older than 6 months

• The address does not match what you provided

• You name doesn't match the name on the document

• The document you provided is not an acceptable type. See FAQ titled “What documents do I need to prepare to apply for an account?” for documents required

 Proof of ID is insufficient due to:

• The ID being unclear

• The document provided is the incorrect type. Only ID Card, Green-barcoded ID for South Africans and Passports for non-South Africans

• There is a glare on the document and cannot be read easily.

• Your face is in the picture of the ID.

• The ID provided has expired.

 Selfie

• The picture provided is blurry.
